Getting Involved

We believe in the God-given principles of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States, knowing that adherence to these will preserve our liberties, security, and economy of the government. Consequently, we will support, in a nonpartisan manner and regardless of party, those who adhere most closely to these principles and oppose those who ignore and shun them.

Welcome to the Laurens County Tea Party. We believe in personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future.  We typically hold monthly meetings with educational speakers on topics of interest to us.  Other speakers include our elected officials, and during election years, we invite candidates and hold candidate forums.

Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm. We are currently meeting at Laurens Library, 1017 W. Main St., Laurens, SC.  Please check our website the day of the meeting to make sure that the date has not been changed.

Meetings are open to everyone. Paid members are entitled to vote at the meetings. Special events are scheduled throughout the year.

No one associated with the Laurens County Tea Party receives any compensation for their services. We are all volunteers. One hundred percent of your dues will be used to further the cause of the Laurens County Tea Party. We appreciate your interest, participation, and your financial support.

Our dues are paid annually and renewable on January 1. Memberships beginning in October, November or December will include the upcoming year. Please make your check payable to the Laurens County Tea Party.

  1. Hello, I am doing a research project on the geography of the tea party movement and the pattern of its diffusion throughout the US. To do this, I am hoping to learn how many members belong to each tea party group. Do you keep this type of info? Thanks.

  2. This is Judson Phillips, from Tea Party Nation. I’m in South Carolina, trying to reach out to local Tea Party groups but I can’t find any contact information for the Laurens County Tea Party. How do I reach you? Thanks!
